Duct-Type Shelter Air Handling Unit
The Duct-Type Shelter Air Handling Unit is a dual-mode life-support ventilation system engineered to provide safe and continuous fresh air supply in civil defense shelters, military bunkers, and emergency command centers. Its compact in-line duct profile enables seamless integration into mechanical air distribution networks even in space-restricted environments.
Operating under a dual-regime principle: during Peacetime (Normal Mode), incoming air is conditioned through a G4 panel pre-filter. During Warfare / Emergency Mode, airtight bypass dampers route intake air through a specialized CBRN filtration train comprising an activated carbon adsorption filter (for nuclear, biological, and chemical war gases), a high-efficiency HEPA filter, and a radiation-shielding lead eliminator.
Operational & Structural Features
- Normal Operation Mode: Low-resistance G4 panel filter path providing energy-efficient standard fresh air turnover
- Warfare / CBRN Mode: Multi-stage defense line intercepting chemical agents, toxic biological aerosols, and nuclear fallout
- Specialized NBC Filtration: Gas-adsorbing activated carbon matrix, H13/H14 HEPA core, and radiation-attenuating lead eliminator
- In-Line Duct Construction: Heavy-gauge galvanized steel housing designed for rigid flange-to-duct connections
- Airtight Damper System: Zero-leakage bypass switching between normal and emergency filtration paths
- High-Pressure Blower: High-efficiency fan motor engineered to overcome high differential pressure drops
Application Fields
- Civil defense shelters in government facilities, municipal buildings, and ministries
- Military command bunkers, underground defense shelters, and tactical hubs
- Hospitals, disaster response facilities, and emergency crisis management suites
- Residential apartment towers, commercial office complexes, and public infrastructure
- Industrial chemical plants, energy refineries, and hazardous material storage sites
