Laminar Airflow (LAF) Unit

The Laminar Airflow (LAF) Unit is an advanced air filtration and distribution system designed to minimize airborne particle and microbial contamination by providing a controlled, unidirectional laminar airflow in operating theatres, cleanrooms, laboratories, and sterile production facilities. It plays a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with stringent air quality and hygiene standards (ISO 14644, DIN 1946-4) across the healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and high-tech manufacturing sectors.

Custom-engineered by QMC Energy Engineering according to specific project requirements, our Laminar Flow systems utilize high-efficiency H14 HEPA filtration technology to capture airborne particulates and pathogens with up to 99.995% efficiency. This creates a continuous, homogeneous, and turbulence-free positive clean air stream directly over the critical zone. Built with AISI 304 / 316 grade stainless steel, the structure ensures exceptional resistance to corrosion, disinfectants, and aggressive cleaning agents, delivering long-term airtight reliability.

Manufactured in full compliance with international standards, each Laminar Flow Unit undergoes rigorous filter integrity leak tests (DOP/PAO), air velocity uniformity checks, and differential pressure validation. Units can be customized in various dimensions and flow capacities tailored to the geometry, airflow demands, and hygiene classification of the target space.
